Eugene Bertsch
Eugen Bertsch (born May 22, 1907 in Gronau, Oberstenfeld , † May 3, 1980 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) was a German marathon runner .
At the Košice Marathon in 1936, he was fifth.
In 1938 he became the German marathon champion with his personal best of 2:37:25 h . At the European Athletics Championships in Paris he was third at 37 km, but then lost two minutes after a collision with a cyclist and was sixth in 2:45:21 h.
Eugen Bertsch started for VfB Stuttgart .
