Eugene Heinz

Eugen Heinz (* 1889 ; † 1977 ) was a German administrative officer and president of the Baden-Württemberg State Labor Office until 1956.

Life

Between 1919 and 1934, Heinz worked in various employment agencies in southwest Germany until he lost his job after refusing to join the NSDAP. From 1934 to 1945 he was assigned to the Technical State Office in Ludwigsburg. After the end of the Second World War, he was President of the Württemberg-Baden State Labor Office from 1945 and, after the formation of the Southwest State, President of the Baden-Württemberg State Labor Office. He was retired on March 31, 1956.

In addition to his professional activity, Heinz took on honorary positions in the Swabian section of the German Alpine Club (DAV). After joining in 1920 he became head of the youth group in 1924 and was head of the ski department from 1929 to 1932, which achieved great sporting successes under him. From 1953 to 1970 he was the first chairman of the section. The Jamtalhütte in the Silvretta massif , which belongs to the section , was nicknamed Dr. Eugen Heinz Hut .

Heinz was the grandfather of the psychiatrist and psychotherapist Andreas Heinz .
