Eun Young Yi (* 1956 in Daecheon, South Korea ) is an architect. He runs the architecture office yi architects in Cologne and Seoul .
Yi studied architecture from 1976 to 1983 at Hanyang University in Korea and from 1984 to 1990 at RWTH Aachen University . From 1994 to 1999 he was a research assistant at the chair for urban planning and engineering at RWTH Aachen University. He was appointed university professor at Hanyang University in 2000. In 1999 he won the competition for the realization of the city library on Mailänder Platz (then: Library 21 ) in Stuttgart , which opened on October 24, 2011. In 2010 it was decided to rebuild the Lower Saxony state parliament according to his plans.
