Euphlyctis mudigere is a species of amphibian from the Dicroglossidae family .
description
Euphlyctis mudigere is a small species of Euphlyctis . The females are not yet known. The body length of the males is 28.1 to 34.8 millimeters. The species differs from Euphlyctis hexadactylus and Euphlyctis aloysii by a simple striped pattern on the back of the thigh and by bluntly incised webs. Compared to Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis , the fingers are shorter in relation to the length of the body. The pairing calls last an average of 1.3 seconds and consist of around 16 pulses with a dominant frequency band of around 1.5 kHz. Compared to Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis and Euphlyctis hexadactylus , the calls are longer, consist of more impulses and a lower dominant frequency band.
Occurrence
The species is so far only known from Mudigere , Karnataka , India.
Systematics
Euphlyctis Mudigere was 2009 S. Hareesh Joshy , Mohammad Alam Shaiqul , Atsushi Kurabayashi , Masayuki Sumida and Mitsuru Kuramoto first described . The name is derived from the type locality, Mudigere.
