description

The succulent Euphorbia ankazobensis forms shrubs with many shoots and moderate branching up to 50 centimeters in height or more. The stem-round branches are up to 1.5 centimeters thick. The egg-shaped leaves are in rosettes on the shoot ends. They are almost seated, 3.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. The upper side is blue-green, the underside lighter in color and a short tip is formed at the tip of the leaf. The 5 to 10 millimeter long stipule spines are narrow and thickened at the base. Straight stipule spines are red in color and later fall off.

Single cymes are formed that have a stalk about 1 centimeter long. The broadly egg-shaped cyathophylls spread up to 7 millimeters and are yellow-green in color. The cyathia are 3 millimeters in size and the elongated, touching nectar glands are greenish yellow in color. The spherical fruit reaches 7 millimeters in diameter.
