description
The succulent Euphorbia annamarieae forms little branched shrubs up to 1 meter high. The shoots have a diameter of 2 centimeters at the base, side shoots have a diameter of 1 centimeter. The narrow, lanceolate leaves are spiraling on the shoots, are almost sessile and are up to 10.5 centimeters long and 1.5 centimeters wide. The leaf scars are large and the very many, individually standing stipule spines are cartilaginous and thickened at the base.
Almost terminal cymes are formed which are roughly three-bifurcated. They stand on a stalk up to 5 centimeters long. The expanded cyathophylls are 5 millimeters in size and have small tips. They are creamy yellow to reddish in color and have hair around the edges. The cyathia are 4 millimeters in size and the nectar glands are colored yellow. The ovary is bluntly lobed. Nothing is known about the fruit and the seed.
