Euphorbia bolusii is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).

description

The growth of the succulent Euphorbia bolusii is not known; a dwarf or medusa-like form is suspected. Patterned shoots up to 6 centimeters long and 10 to 13 millimeters in diameter are formed in fields. The fields are created by protruding and obliquely elongated warts that are up to 8 millimeters long and 3 millimeters wide.

The inflorescence consists of individual cymes that appear at the tip of the shoot and are located on a 12 to 25 millimeter long stalk. There are four bracts on the stem, which harden and are durable. The cyathia are 9 millimeters in size. The 3.5 millimeter long and 5 millimeter wide nectar glands have four to six 1.5 millimeter long appendages on the edge, each divided into two columns and colored whitish. The ovary is sessile.

Distribution and systematics

Euphorbia bolusii is common in South Africa in the Mpumalanga province . The type location is doubted.

The species was first described in 1915 by Nicholas Edward Brown . It is assumed that this species is synonymous with Euphorbia tuberculata .
