Euphorbia curocana is a species of the genus milkweed ( Euphorbia ) in the family of the milkweed family(Euphorbiaceae).

description

The succulent Euphorbia curocana grows from a tuberous root and forms small, richly branched shrubs that are about 30 centimeters high. The stiff shoots lignify and are thorn-pointed. The succulent leaves are elliptical and covered with downy hairs. They are arranged in a sitting position, are 8 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide and are transient.

The cymes with downy hairs stand on stems about 4 millimeters long and consist of one to three cyathia that can reach a diameter of up to 9 millimeters. The roughly square shaped nectar glands have four to six short appendages on the outer edge and are greenish yellow in color. The almost spherical and roughly seated fruit is approximately 6 millimeters in size and has few downy hairs. The egg-shaped seed is 2.9 millimeters long and 2.4 millimeters wide. It has a smooth surface.

The species was first described in 1975 by Leslie Charles Leach . A synonyms for this type is Tirucallia curocana (LCLeach) PVHeath (1996).
