Euphorbia dekindtii is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).

The succulent Euphorbia dekindtii grows as a very small shrub with a somewhat bulbous root. The five- to seven-sided shoots are up to 20 centimeters long. They are divided into ellipsoidal sections by constrictions, and bulged teeth are arranged on the wing-like edges. The thorn shields have grown together to form a horn rim. Thorns up to 10 millimeters long and strongly succulent stipple thorns are formed.

The inflorescence consists of single and simple cymes , which often only consist of a cyathium . The inflorescence stalk is up to 6 millimeters long. The cyathia reach a diameter of up to 8 millimeters. The elliptical nectar glands are single. The bluntly lobed fruit is sessile and is up to 5 millimeters long and 6.5 millimeters wide. The egg-shaped seed is about 2.75 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide. It has a smooth surface.

Distribution and systematics

Euphorbia dekindtii is distributed in the Angolan province of Huíla on rocky hills at altitudes of about 1800 meters.

The species was first described in 1904 by Ferdinand Albin Pax .
