Euphorion (Author)
Euphorion (* around 276 BC in Chalkis on Euboea ; † after 223 BC ) was a Greek poet and writer of Hellenism . He studied with the philosophers Lakydes of Cyrene and Prytanis of Karystos , among others . Later he belonged to the circle of the ruler Nicaia of Corinth . In addition to prosaic works, he wrote epics , elegies and epigrams in screwy language and dark language. Euphorion died as the librarian of the Seleucid king Antiochus III.
