The Eureka Glacier is a glacier in the US state of Alaska on the southern flank of the northern Alaska range .

geography

The 11.8 km long valley glacier has its nutrient area at an altitude of 2100  m on the eastern flank of the 2713  m high Cumberland Peak . The glacier flows in a southerly direction, picks up tributary glaciers from the left and right , and ends at an altitude of around 1100  m . The 2.1 km wide glacier tongue forms the source of both Eureka Creek , which flows east to the Delta River , and the East Fork Maclaren River , which flows west to the Maclaren River . The glacier is retreating.
