The Euritas (Alliance of European Government IT service providers) was founded in 2007 by the Austrian Federal Computing Center (BRZ), the data processing center Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DPCs) and data port German, ICT service five states, was founded. In order to support international user friendliness, at the end of 2010 the cooperation association was renamed “European Association of Public IT Service Providers”, Euritas.

The association has set itself the goal of cross-border exchange and networking with European administrative IT service providers and the joint processing of EU- wide requirements and issues.

history

In autumn 2007, three public administrative IT service providers from Austria and Germany founded an association to establish a trans-European network of similar institutions. By December 2009, six more partners had joined. In the spring of 2010, the association commissioned a university research study that should determine the potential and future development of the association. In December 2010 the association was named "Euritas", the members agreed vision & mission statements as well as strategic interests. In December 2011, a cloud working group started, from which the cloud white paper emerged .

Members

The members are state-owned companies based in Europe that do not work for profit ( non-profit organization ). They are public administration service providers in Europe who are committed to state-of-the-art standards and procedures. All members contribute their resources and activities to Euritas.
