The Konzertdirektion Landgraf GmbH & Co. KG is a German touring theater based in Titisee-Neustadt , which mainly presents theater and musical productions in the German-speaking area. The company's own productions, founded in 1945, have been marketed under the Tournee-Theater Euro-Studio Landgraf label since 1964 .

history

The company was founded in 1945 by journalist Ernst Landgraf (* around 1915, † 1974) in Neustadt in the Black Forest . The first production was a recital with the opera singer Heinrich Schlusnus . Soon afterwards, Landgraf represented the Swabian comedian duo Willy Reichert and Oscar Heiler , the pianist Elly Ney and the Vienna Boys' Choir .

In 1957 the concert management's program was expanded to include ballet productions, and theater productions were added in the 1960s. The first production, Henrik Ibsen's “Ghosts” from 1960, featured actors from the Vienna Burgtheater . Numerous stage productions followed with actors well-known from film and television such as Attila Hörbiger , Ewald Balser , Käthe Gold , Joachim Fuchsberger , Inge Meysel , Will Quadflieg , Charles Regnier , Sonja Ziemann , Walter Giller , Nadja Tiller , Peter Striebeck , Doris Kunstmann and Peter Bause . Some of these actors worked in the field of touring theater for decades exclusively for the Landgraf concert management and were thus able to build up a kind of ensemble that traveled with them over the years.

In 1974 Joachim Landgraf (* 1945), the founder's son, took over management of the company. In 1975, the first music theater productions were sent on tour.

Awards

The Euro-Studio Landgraf was able to win thirteen first prizes of the community of interests of the cities with theater guest performances (INTHEGA) until 2011 , in addition the company was awarded three INTHEGA prizes each in the categories music theater and crossover.
