European Network on Debt and Development

The initiated in 1990 Eurodad (of English .: Euro pean Network on D ebt a nd D evelopment about. European Network on Debt and Development ) is a network of 56 non-governmental organizations , which itself primarily with issues of public debt of developing countries and the practical consequences for deals with the design of financial development cooperation. In particular, questions of debt relief , including the characterization of debts into “ sustainable ” and “unsustainable” debts, debts to non-governmental and non-private institutions such as the IMF , the development banks or the World Bank , “ illegitimate debts ” and the linking of political debts are addressed Conditions for debt relief programs such as the HIPC or MDRI initiatives, the effectiveness of development cooperation and structural aspects of the architecture of financial and “aid” institutions are dealt with.
