The European School Culham in Oxfordshire in the UK was a European school and the only one in the UK. Most recently it had around 900 primary and secondary school students who are taught in five language sections. It was dissolved on August 31, 2017.

It was founded in 1978 for the children of the scientists working on the Joint European Torus (JET) at Culham. In September 1979, the international kindergarten and elementary school with five language sections were joined by the secondary school with five language sections. It was only on this occasion that the school was officially opened by the then President of the European Commission Roy Jenkins . The school's first principal was Derrik Hurd from Great Britain. The second director from 1987 was the former Greenland Minister Tom Høyem from Denmark , followed by Simon Sharron (Great Britain).

The school was located on the site of the Culham College teachers' college founded in 1852 by the Bishop of Winchester Samuel Wilberforce and also made use of the historic buildings that were built in the neo-Gothic style.

After the JET / EFDA project to the 2017 French Cadarache was moved ( ITER ), the school was closed on 31 August 2017th Since then, no more students have been taught, and processing will take place on site until May 31, 2018.

As early as September 2012, on the initiative of parents, the Europa School UK was opened, which belongs to the wider group of European schools. From September 2017 all students could switch to the recognized "Europa School UK".
