European school family
The European school family (from the English European School Family short ESF ), and International School family called, is a student exchange program and school development project.

The European School Family was founded in October 1991 in Tommerup , Denmark . Today's members are schools from Denmark , the Netherlands , Poland , England and Germany .
The initiators hope that the project will
- the pupils meet a European neighbor and experience him in his culture, in his family, as well as in his everyday school life, so that the idea of a common Europe becomes tangible,
- the teachers get to know the European school system and develop international competence,
- the parents are directly integrated into the encounter,
- the school is on the way to acquire a European dimension,
- the lessons are positively influenced by various projects in individual subjects: when learning the English language, a significant boost in motivation is noticeable (main communication takes place in English),
- over-school effects occur: friendships develop; mutual visits by parents and / or students during vacation; Promotion of the personal development and development towards independence of the students; Further development of knowledge and understanding of European neighbors; Xenophobia finds no breeding ground.
