European Liner Affairs Association

The European Liner Affairs Association (ELAA) was an association of liner shipping companies . It had set itself the task of representing the political and economic interests of its members before the European Union and its institutions (see also lobby ).

The association, based in Brussels , was founded in May 2003. On July 1, 2010, the members decided to dissolve the association. Since then, they have been represented by the World Shipping Council .

Most recently, ELAA represented more than 90% of the global container shipping companies .
