European Neurology , or Eur Neurol for short , is a medical journal for psychiatry and neurology .

The forerunner of the magazine was founded in 1897 by Carl Wernicke and Theodor Draw . Volumes 1 to 133 (from 1897 to 1957) were published under the title of the monthly journal for psychiatry and neurology , and volumes 134 to 154 (from 1957 to 1967) under the title of Psychiatria et Neurologia . In 1968 the journal was split into European Neurology and Psychiatria Clinica (now Psychopathology ).

According to the ISI Web of Knowledge , the impact factor in 2014 was 1.356, making the journal 217th out of 252 journals in the Neuroscience category and 151st out of 192 journals in the Clinical Neurology category .
