European Universities Games 2012

The European Universities Games 2012 ( EUSA-Games 2012 ) are a European multisport event for students and the first edition of the games. The venue for the Games will be Cordoba , Spain , from July 13th to 24th . Córdoba prevailed in the bidding process against Łódź and Lisbon and in March 2010 was awarded the contract to host the Games in Vilnius by the European University Sports Association , the umbrella organization for the Games. According to the company, the games are the largest European multisport event for students. In Cordoba 2583 participants started in 253 teams from 151 universities from 32 participating countries.

Rugby 7s and beach volleyball were optional sports in the EUSA Games 2012 program.
