European Universities Games 2016

The European Universities Games 2016 ( EUSA-Games 2016 ) are a European multisport event for students and are the third edition of the games after Córdoba in Spain and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The venue for the games will be Zagreb and Rijeka in Croatia from July 13 to 23 . Zagreb-Rijeka prevailed over Coimbra in the bidding process and was awarded the contract to host the Games in June 2013 in Ljubljana by the European University Sports Association , the umbrella organization for the Games. According to the company, the games are the largest European multisport event for students.

Beach volleyball, rowing and rugby 7s are optional sports in the EUSA Games 2014 program. Water polo is a demonstration sport.
