The pancreatic fluke ( Eurytrema pancreaticum ) is a parasitic occurring fluke in the duct system of the pancreas of pigs , cattle , camels , and monkeys . It occurs in East Asia (China, Japan, Korea) and South America. Lung snails serve as the first intermediate host , and grasshoppers as the second . The pancreatic gel is 8-12 × 5-8 mm in size.
Humans are very rarely attacked ( chance host ).
