Eva-Maria Ittner (born September 21, 1961 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German sword fencer and multiple German champion .

Career

Eva-Maria Ittner began her athletic career at the Rheinischer Fechtklub Düsseldorf (RFKD) with the foil. So she won her first titles even before switching to the sword, such as B. 1982 that of the national youth champion in the individual or 1985 the German championship in the team. In 1988 she took part in the unofficial first epee world championship for women in Orleans and became world champion. Together with Katja Nass and Claudia Bokel , Ittner formed the first Olympic women's epee team in Germany at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
