Katja Nass (born November 26, 1968 in Orsoy ) is a former German sword fencer .

Career

Katja Nass began her fencing career in 1980 in her hometown of Moers with the foil . In 1982 she won her first title with the German B-Youth Championship. In 1988 she went to the fencing club Offenbach and switched to the sword . When women's epee fencing was held for the first time as an Olympic competition in Atlanta in 1996, Katja Nass, Eva-Maria Ittner and Claudia Bokel were the first to represent Germany in this discipline. In 2003, Nass was already qualified to take part in the 2004 World Cup when she decided to end her career.
