Eva Höfner-Pönicke

Eva Höfner-Pönicke (born January 29, 1923 in Uerdingen (now Krefeld ); born Eva Höfner ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

Eva Höfner-Pönicke (signature EP) studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and at the Offenbacher Werkkunstschule . A year-long trip abroad took her to the United States . Then she settled in Bad Homburg . In the 1950s she designed posters and books, the cover and contents of which she decorated with watercolors and pen drawings in the lively style of the time.

In the poster competition “By the way, you can't go without a hat” organized by the men's hat collective advertising , she won 2nd prize, combined with the execution of the design.
