Eva Husson

Eva Husson (* 1977 ) is a French director and screenwriter .

She studied Spanish and English literature at the Sorbonne . She graduated with a BA in Spanish Literature and an MA in English Literature . She studied film editing and directing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and graduated with an MFA . While studying at the American Film Institute, she received several awards: the Franco-American Cultural Fund , the Mary Pickford Award for excellent directorial work, the Multicultural Motion Picture Association Award, and a three-year Ambassadorial Rotary grant .

For her first short film Hope to Die she was nominated for the Student Academy Awards .

Role models for their work are Lars von Trier , Wong Kar-wai , Gus Van Sant , Sofia Coppola and Werner Herzog .
