Eva Skalníková (born January 15, 1985 in Nove Mesto ) is a former Czech cross-country skier .

Career

Skalníková took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 2002 to 2012 . She mainly competed in FIS races and the Slavic Cup. She got three wins and finished third in the 2007/08 season and second in the overall standings in 2008/09 . She completed her first World Cup race in January 2002 in Nové Město , which she finished in 42nd place over 5 km freestyle. This was also her best result in a World Cup individual race. In November 2007 she reached in Beitostølen with the ninth place in the relay, her only top ten placement in the World Cup. At the Czech championships in 2008 in Horní Mísečky , she won gold over 10 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , she finished 49th in the 15 km pursuit race, 45th place over 10 km classic and 12th place with the relay. In 2009 and 2010 she won bronze in the sprint at the Czech championships. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , she came in 47th place in the 30 km mass start race and 12th place with the relay.
