Eva Wunsch-Weber

Eva Wunsch-Weber (born June 13, 1964 in Karlsruhe ) is a German bank manager and CEO of Frankfurter Volksbank eG.

Life

After completing her professional training as a bank clerk at Deutsche Bank AG in 1985, she completed a degree in business administration at the University of Mannheim until 1991 , which she completed with a degree in business administration. After a two-year trainee program at Commerzbank in Mannheim , she finally joined Frankfurter Volksbank in 1993 .

In 1997, only four years after joining Frankfurter Volksbank, she headed the bank's board of directors. As a result, Wunsch-Weber was initially head of the department for fundamental issues (2000), which was expanded in 2004 to include responsibility for the human resources department. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of Frankfurter Volksbank International SA in Luxembourg from 2002 to 2011.

After holding positions as director , authorized signatory and general representative , she finally became a member of the board in 2008 . From 2010 to 2012, Wunsch-Weber was Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Management of Frankfurter Volksbank. In this role she was responsible for corporate planning and personnel , marketing and sales as well as for the market areas Frankfurt-Stadt , Königstein and Kronberg .

In February 2011, the Supervisory Board of Frankfurter Volksbank appointed Eva Wunsch-Weber as the successor to the long-standing, successful CEO Hans-Joachim Tonnellier . This was justified with the intention to ensure clear relationships early on, also with regard to employees. On April 25, 2012 Eva Wunsch-Weber took over the position of tonnellier and since then has been the first and so far only woman at the head of a large Volksbank in Germany. With this smooth move, Tonnellier, who had previously managed the bank for 15 years, ensured an orderly transition.

Teaching

From 1997 to 2003, Wunsch-Weber was a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management .

Memberships

In addition to her position as CEO of Frankfurter Volksbank, Wunsch-Weber holds various committee mandates, including a. as chairman of the management board of DZ Verwaltungs GmbH, Neu-Isenburg, as a member of the central advisory board of the DZ BANK Group and as a member of the management board of NMS DZ Verwaltungs GmbH, Neu-Isenburg. She is also a member of the General Assembly and the Banking Committee of the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the advisory group of the KfW SME Council. Wunsch-Weber is a volunteer member of boards of trustees such as the Society for Capital Market Research, the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University on the Main, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management gGmbH and the Städel.
