The Methodist Church in Leingarten

The Methodist Church in Leingarten , a community in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg , was completed in 2003 with the addition of a community center in its current form. The church dates back to a Methodist chapel from 1884.

history

A Methodist congregation in the Leingarten district of Großgartach has existed since 1868. It was initially looked after from Heilbronn and held its meetings in a residential building on Kapellengasse . In 1869 the congregation founded its own Sunday school, which was soon attended by over 100 children from the rapidly growing congregation. The community built its first own chapel in 1884 in Bahngasse . It was expanded in 1922 and rebuilt again in 1968. In 2003 the chapel was replaced by a new community center.
