history

In 1818 the church was elevated to a parish church and restored in 1964/65. The Protestant parish of Hülsenbusch has existed since 1818.
Architecture and equipment
The interior of the church is recognizable as a Bergisch Protestant sermon church , because the last supper table, pulpit and organ prospect in rococo style are typically arranged one above the other.
The tower has a flat dome with four portico windows - a shape that is otherwise rare in the Oberberg region.

The Hülsenbusch cemetery was only laid out in 1829. Until then, the dead have been buried both in the church and in the churchyard around the church. Owners of aristocratic courts as well as pastors, church patrons and rulers had the right to "a place in the church in life and in death". Gravestones on the church wall prove this old custom as well as bone finds during the restoration.
