Work v. Elfriede Czukta

The Evangelical Church Dodenau is a listed church building in Dodenau , a district of Battenberg in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district ( Hesse ).

The church, formerly dedicated to St. Martin was consecrated, the Ev.-Luther. Parish of Dodenau in the deanery Biedenkopf-Gladenbach of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau as a place of worship. Parts of the east wall of the wide hall building with roof turrets are still Romanesque. The small apse is vaulted. In the unadorned new building from the 17th century there are three mighty wooden pillars, on one of which hangs the pulpit from the end of the 17th century. Noteworthy are the small, probably Gothic altar crucifix and the octagonal baptismal font from 1621.
