The Evangelical Church is a listed church building on Kirchplatz in Lotte , a municipality in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

History and architecture

The parish was founded in 1312 by Otto von Tecklenburg. The tower hall is still preserved from the church, which was completed in 1315. The late Gothic hall was added to this. The hall church with three bays is crowned by a mighty, slated gable rider, this was put on in 1644. The interior was redesigned in 1909, since then the tower hall has served as a choir . The plastered building is structured in the west wall by five-pass windows , otherwise by pointed arch windows. In the side walls of the low choir hall with domical vaults there are round-arched niches. A six-part, in the eastern yoke a four-part, ribbed vault was drawn into the nave . The keystones are decorated with relief representations. The wooden inlay gallery was installed after 1909.
