Evangelical Church of St. John the Baptist (Lindenhorst)
The Evangelical Church of St. John the Baptist is a listed church building in Dortmund - Lindenhorst , Alte Ellinghauser Straße 7.
History and architecture
The hall church was built from 1910 to 1912 according to a design by the architect Gustav Mucke . It supplemented the Romanesque church tower, probably built in the 13th century. It is the remainder of the former church that probably belonged to the Lords of Lindenhorst (Counts of Dortmund from 1316 to 1452). The quarry stone walls are not structured, the portal is to the west. The sound openings are decorated with small central pillars. The building was renovated in 1968, 1983 and 1984. One of the two bells is marked with the year "1405". The church was divorced on November 16, 2013.
