Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin
The Evangelische Lungenklinik Berlin is a special clinic for acute and chronic diseases of the lungs as well as the thorax and its organs.
history
The clinic goes back to the Research Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis, which was established in Berlin-Buch in 1952 . Around 15,000 outpatients and inpatients are currently treated each year. The clinic is a co-founder of the Tumor Center Berlin-Buch (member of the Tumor Center Berlin eV) and the Academic Teaching Hospital of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin is located in one of the five historic Buch hospital complexes, which were built according to the plans of the Berlin City Planning Council Ludwig Hoffmann . The clinic's houses were built between 1900 and 1908 and modernized in 2000. The Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin is a Johannesstift Diakonie company (until June 11, 2019 Paul Gerhardt Diakonie gAG, until June 30, 2009 Association for the Establishment of Protestant Hospitals).
