Evangelical parish church in Nasswald

The Evangelical Parish Church Naßwald is the Protestant parish church of the parish Naßwald in Oberhof , municipality of Schwarzau in the mountains in the Rax region, in Lower Austria.

Parish history

The Protestant parish was founded in 1826 as part of the Protestant parish Mitterbach (near Gasen , Styria). From 1849 the pastorate was near Vienna and in 1861 the parish became independent. This parish also includes the Evangelical Henriettenkapelle in Hirschwang an der Rax , as well as the leased inn to the Raxkönig opposite the parish church.

Building description

Rectory

The church forms a building complex with the rectory. It was built in 1826 by Georg Huebmer as a primary school and prayer house. In 1840 the building was extended and a tower was added in 1910.
