coat of arms

The coat of arms of the municipality of Gasen was awarded on May 8, 1989. It shows three silver ash leaves on a green background above two growing mountain hoes, eye to eye, butting sideways against the edges of the shield. The integration of the ash trees is based on the Slavic place name "Jasen" (Eschenbach). The mountain picks symbolize the mining past of the place, while the green ground points to the former sovereign Styrian property in Gasen.
