Koglhof is a former municipality in the upper Feistritztal in the district of Weiz , Styria . As part of the structural reform in Styria , it has been merged with the neighboring communities of Gschaid bei Birkfeld , Haslau bei Birkfeld , Birkfeld and Waisenegg since 2015 . The new market town continues the name "Birkfeld".
The administrative seat was in Koglhof, where the parish church is located. Koglhof is located in the Almenland Sommeralm-Teichalm holiday region .

- Rabendorf (267 Ew.)
- Rossegg (273 Ew.)
- Sallegg (88 Ew.)

- Rail: In Koglhof there are two stops of the Feistritztalbahn , the stations Koglhof and Rossegg , but the railway line, which is only operated as a museum railway in this section, stops as planned only in the Koglhof station, where the historic station building has been converted into an inn.
- In addition, there is a summer toboggan run that has been newly built in the last few years in Koglhof . With a special joint ticket, a ride on the Feistritztalbahn can be combined with the summer toboggan run.
- Hiking trails: There are also some hiking trails in the Koglhof area, which lead to the Königskogel or the Rabenwald , among other places .

The municipal council last consisted of 15 members and, since the municipal council election in 2010, has consisted of mandates from the following parties:

coat of arms
The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from January 1, 1968.
Blazon (coat of arms description):
- "In a gold shield over a silver, flooded shield base, a green three-mountain, on which a stone-colored square castle with four black windows rises, the red roof of which is crowned by a ridge with a red onion hood."
The coat of arms shows the Frondsberg Castle surrounded by Feistritz , the landmark and most important historical monument within the municipality, as well as the three highest elevations Lindkogel, Königskogel and Rabenwald.
