Haslau bei Birkfeld is a village and former municipality with 427 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in Styria , in the Weiz district , it is located in the upper Feistritztal , five kilometers from Birkfeld towards Gasen . As part of the Styrian community structural reform , it has been merged with the neighboring communities of Gschaid bei Birkfeld , Birkfeld , Koglhof and Waisenegg since 2015 . The market town continues the name "Birkfeld".

The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from June 14, 1993. Due to the amalgamation of the municipalities, the coat of arms lost its official validity on January 1, 2015.
