Community structure

The community consists of the cadastral community Weiglhof.
The highest point in the municipality is the wild meadows with a height of 1256 m .
politics
Mayor is Karl Maderbacher (ÖVP). After the 2010 elections, the municipal council was composed as follows: 7 ÖVP , 2 SPÖ
coat of arms
The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from July 1, 1977.
Description of the coat of arms: In the shield, divided by a wavy line from green to silver, a silver two-gabled courtyard above, covered with a hipped roof, the gables with two angular windows each and connected with a tinned archway; below three (2: 1) right-swept red plowshares.
Tourism association
Together with Birkfeld, Fischbach, Ratten, Rettenegg, Strallegg, St. Kathrein am Hauenstein, St. Jakob im Walde, Waldbach-Mönichwald, Wenigzell and Vorau, the municipality forms the “ Joglland - Waldheimat ” tourism association . Its seat is the municipality of St. Jakob im Walde.

Miesenbach is one of the venues for the annual Intermusica .
