Pischelsdorf am Kulm has been a municipality in the Weiz district in Styria since the beginning of 2015 . The area of ​​the municipality is 28.14 km².

history

The municipality emerged as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria from the municipalities of Pischelsdorf in Styria , Kulm bei Weiz and Reichendorf, which were dissolved at the end of 2014 . A complaint brought by the Reichendorf community against the amalgamation to the Constitutional Court was unsuccessful.

Culture and sights

  • Catholic parish church Pischelsdorf am Kulm Hll. Peter and Paulin Pischelsdorf
  • One of the largest events in the region is the Pischelsdorfer Volksfest and the Pischelsdorf business fair . It is held annually on Ascension Day on the area around the grounds of the Oststeirerhalle. The traditional folk festival is organized by the Pischelsdorf volunteer fire brigade, a special feature here is the business fair in its own tent hall and the large amusement park. The grilled sausages, which are cooked on a large charcoal grill in front of the festival visitors, are a well-known specialty of the folk festival far beyond the municipal boundaries.
