Strallegg is a municipality with 1917 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the district of Weiz in the Austrian state of Styria .
geography
Strallegg is located in the Eastern Styrian mountainous region.
Community structure
The municipality includes the following four localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):
- Auseregg (254)
- Feistritz (426)
- Pacher (316)
- Strallegg (921)
The community consists of the cadastral communities of Ausseregg, Feistritz, Pacher and Strallegg.
Neighboring communities
Two of the six neighboring communities are in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (HF) district.

history
It was first mentioned in a document in 1295. The landlords of the Middle Ages were the Stubenbergs . Later the canons of Pöllau Abbey were landlords. The abolition of the manorial lords took place in 1848. The local community as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to the Reichsgau Steiermark, 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Mayor is Anita Feiner. After the elections in 2015, the municipal council was composed as follows: 9 ÖVP , 4 SPÖ , 2 FPÖ

The municipality's coat of arms was awarded in 1989. Blazon : "In the black shield covered with a silver mistletoe bent to the right, a silver upper corner on the right, in it a slanted black arrowhead."
Tourism association
Together with Birkfeld, Fischbach, Miesenbach, Rettenegg, Ratten, St. Kathrein am Hauenstein, St. Jakob im Walde, Waldbach-Mönichwald, Wenigzell and Vorau, the municipality forms the “ Joglland - Waldheimat ” tourist association . Its seat is the municipality of St. Jakob im Walde.
