Floing is in District Weiz location municipality of the Austrian federal state of Styria with 1,204 inhabitants (1 January 2020).
geography
The municipality of Floing is located in the hilly landscape of Eastern Styria at the foot of the Rabenwald and at the beginning of the Styrian Apple Road . The landscape is characterized by orchards, meadows, mixed forests and the Feistritz river .

The community consists of the two cadastral communities Floing and Unterfeistritz.

Economy and tourism
The Feistritztal cycle route R8 runs through the municipality.
Together with Feistritztal, Anger, Puch bei Weiz and Stubenberg, the municipality forms the “Apfelland Stubenbergsee ” tourist association . Its seat is Stubenberg.
