Siegersdorf bei Herberstein was a municipality with 296 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the judicial district of Fürstenfeld and in the political district of Hartberg-Fürstenfeld in Styria in Austria . As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , it has been merged with the municipalities of Kaibing , Blaindorf , Sankt Johann bei Herberstein and Hirnsdorf since 2015 .
The resulting new community bears the new name Feistritztal . The basis for this was a joint application from these communities.
The boundaries of the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld and Weiz districts have been changed so that the new community lies entirely in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district.

Two rare plant species growing on the rocks of Geierwand and those of Kranzerls against Feistritzklamm: the Hauswurz and especially the Herbersteinprimel or stone veigerl (Latin primula villosa var commutata. ). It blooms in spring every year and its existence is secured by the Nature Conservation Act.

Geographical location
Siegersdorf bei Herberstein is located in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district around 17 km southwest of the district capital Hartberg and around 45 km northwest of the provincial capital Graz . Siegersdorf is located south of the Feistritz , which forms the border to the neighboring municipality of Stubenberg am See in the northeast . On the opposite bank is the Herberstein Castle , which is mentioned in the name addition.
Expansion of the former municipal area
The area extends on the northern edge of the East Styrian hill country , essentially on the eastern foothills of the 976 m high Kulm , which is not itself in the municipality, but about one kilometer west of it. As a result, the area falls from about 800 m above sea level. A. in the west up to approx. 440 m above sea level. A. from Feistritz in the east. Here the strikingly incised Feistritzklamm forms a wooded and uninhabited border belt. In the north, the community reaches within a few meters of the Stubenbergsee , from which the Kulmbach forms the border to Stubenberg am See. The south and west of the municipality are characterized by distinctive edges of the terrain, which are formed by several branches of the so-called Dürrfeistritz, which flows into the Feistritz as Römerbach near Gersdorf .

Economy and Infrastructure
In economic terms, Siegersdorf bei Herberstein is geared towards the neighboring communities of Pischelsdorf in Styria and Stubenberg am See, as the community hardly offers jobs and larger shopping opportunities due to its rural structure and poor accessibility for individual transport. Of the 141 employees at the place of work, 114 (81%) are not employed in the municipality itself, as only 33 jobs are available in the municipality (as of May 15, 2001).
traffic
There is no state road through the municipality. The Wechsel Straße B 54 from Hartberg to Gleisdorf is about four kilometers away, the Feistritzklammstraße L 409 leads past the municipality to the east.
There is no train station within ten kilometers.
The Graz Airport is about 45 km away.
Established businesses
Siegersdorf bei Herberstein has predominantly agricultural businesses. In the village of Hoferberg, viticulture is practiced almost exclusively .

There is no school in the municipality. The responsible elementary school is in Sankt Johann bei Herberstein about three kilometers away.

Culture and sights
societies
Many residents are members of parish associations such as the Musikverein and the Comradeship Association of Sankt Johann bei Herberstein. The cultural association is very active. Since the foundation in 2004, an annual concert has been held under the name Siegersdorfer Kulturschmaus “Enjoy with all your senses” .
- The Weinlehrpfad association played a key role in the establishment of a Weinlehrpfad hiking trail. This educational wine trail leads mostly on existing paths and hiking trails and is a connecting path between Wandenweg 771, the vineyards, our wine-growing businesses / taverns, overnight stays, the Roman wine route, the Holy Sepulcher chapels, the community center and the Kneipp biotope.
Parks
Siegersdorf at Herberstein is located in the conservation area no. 40: Herber Steinklamm-Stubenbergsee .
There is a three- hectare deer enclosure near the village of Klamm .
Natural monuments
The east of the municipality offers two sights with the Geierwand vantage point , which offers a beautiful view of the Stubenberg basin, and the Feistritzklamm , which is also called Herbersteinklamm in this section near Herberstein Castle . Another vantage point in the far east of the community is the Kranzerl - a rocky outcrop high above Herberstein Castle on the opposite bank of the Feistritz.
