Feistritztal has been a municipality in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district in Styria since 2015 .

The municipality includes the following seven localities (residents as of January 1, 2020):
- Blaindorf (296) with Maieregg
- Hirnsdorf (662)
- Hofing (145) with Hochstadl
- Illensdorf (240) with back forest
- Kaibing (379) with Kaibingsberg, Maria Fieberbründl and Wallgraben
- Sankt Johann bei Herberstein (381) with Au, Dörfl, Oberklausen and pond farmers
- Siegersdorf near Herberstein (296)
The community consists of six cadastral communities (area 2016):
- Blaindorf (519.70 ha)
- Hirnsdorf (456.09 ha)
- Hofing (535.98 ha)
- Kaibing (279.99 ha)
- St. Johann near Herberstein (284.50 ha)
- Siegersdorf (496.81 ha)

history
The municipality of Feistritztal was created as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria from the municipalities of Blaindorf , Kaibing , Sankt Johann bei Herberstein and Siegersdorf bei Herberstein , all of which are political district Hartberg-Fürstenfeld, and the municipality Hirnsdorf , political district Weiz, which were dissolved at the end of 2014 .
The boundaries of the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld and Weiz districts have been changed so that the new community lies entirely in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district.

- Tourism association: Together with Anger, Floing, Puch bei Weiz and Stubenberg, the municipality forms the "Apfelland Stubenbergsee " tourism association . Its seat is in Stubenberg.

coat of arms
All previous municipalities had a municipal coat of arms. Due to the amalgamation of municipalities, these lost their official validity on January 1st, 2015. The municipality's coat of arms was awarded for the merged municipality with effect from May 20, 2017.
Blazon (coat of arms description):
- "In a golden shield a blue wave pole, in front a red one, above with a heraldic lily, below with a curved tendril decorated with a vine leaf, inside a red millstone, behind a red cross stick with flying velum, the stick foot covered with a red monogram of Mary."
