Until the end of 2014, Hirnsdorf was a municipality with 577 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2014) and an area of 4.57 km² and was located in the Weiz district in Styria . As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , it has been merged with the municipalities of Kaibing , Sankt Johann bei Herberstein , Siegersdorf bei Herberstein and Blaindorf since 2015 , the new municipality bears the new name Feistritztal . The basis for this is a joint application from these municipalities.
The boundaries of the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld and Weiz districts have been changed so that the new community lies entirely in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district. Likewise, with effect from January 1, 2015, the judicial districts were redefined due to the changes in the framework of the municipal structural reform in Styria in the “District Courts Ordinance Styria 2015”. Therefore, as of 2015, the municipality will be in the Fürstenfeld judicial district .
