Economy and Infrastructure

Thermal spring

A thermal spring was discovered during test drilling . Sodium chloride - hydrogen carbonate - thermal brine gushes out of this at 63 ° C. This brine has been used for the Loipersdorf thermal baths since 1982 . As a result, thermal spa hotels, a golf course and an adventure world were created. This led to an expansion of the hotel and restaurant business. With 36,000 m², the thermal bath is one of the largest in Europe today.
