The Roman Catholic parish church Pischelsdorf am Kulm is located in the village of Pischelsdorf in Styria in the municipality of Pischelsdorf am Kulm in Styria . The parish church Peter and Paul belongs to the deanery Gleisdorf in the diocese of Graz-Seckau . The church is a listed building .

history

The church was first mentioned as a parish church in 1203. The old parish church with Gothic and Baroque components was demolished in 1898, but the substructure of the Gothic south tower was retained. From 1898 to 1902 a new building was carried out with a rotation of the church axis in north-south direction according to the plans of the architect Johann Pascher .

architecture

The spacious building in neo-renaissance style has a five-bay nave, which is designed as a wall pillar church with chapels and galleries. The retracted single-bay choir under a dome has a straight end. Next to the main facade is the tower. The glass windows are from 1900.

Furnishing

The high altar

The interior of the church dates back to the time it was built. The late baroque figures on the high altar are attributed to the South Tyrolean sculptor Veit Königer . The organ is from 1913, it has a work from 1950.
