Evangelos Gerakaris
Evangelos Gerakakis (* 1871 in Chania , Crete or in Chalkida , Euboea ; † 1913 ) was a Greek athlete and baker .
Gerakakis took part in the Summer Olympics in Athens in 1896 . He finished seventh in the marathon behind five Greek compatriots and Hungary's Gyula Kellner . Its duration is unknown. He was one of nine athletes to finish the marathon.
He was a co-founder of the historical Greek pastry shop "Tsitas - Gerakakis Brothers" .
