Evelin Lindner

Evelin Gerda Lindner (born May 13, 1954 in Hameln ) is a German doctor , psychologist and transdisciplinary scientist and author who is known for her theory of humiliation .

Evelin Lindner originally a doctor and clinical psychologist and received her doctorate in psychological medicine from the University of Hamburg in 1994 and in social psychology from the University of Oslo in 2001 . Her research concerns dignity and she is convinced that the violation of honor and dignity are the most important obstacles on the way to a humane and natural world community. She is the founder and president of the research network "Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies". - Since 1977 she has lived temporarily in Norway. She also lived in numerous other countries around the world and describes herself as a world citizen (see web links).

Aaron Lazare describes Lindner as one of the leading researchers in the new field of humiliation studies. In 2015 she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for the first time .
