The rose variety ' Evelyn' , syn. 'Aussaucer' is an English Rose , the David Austin has introduced 1,991th She is a descendant of 'Graham Thomas' x 'Tamora'.
The rose variety is called 'Apricot Parfait (Rose)' in Germany.
Evelyn is one of the most unusual roses Austin has grown. The flowers are unusually large and open into a perfect bowl filled with regularly arranged petals. The color is usually a bright mix of apricot and yellow with a touch of pink - at the end of the season the color changes towards pink. Besides 'Gertrude Jekyll' , Evelyn is the (English) rose with the most intense fragrance, so the English perfume manufacturers Crabtree & Evelyn have decided to use this rose as their trademark.
