Evelyn Finley
Evelyn Ruth Finley (born March 11, 1916 in Douglas , Arizona , † April 7, 1989 in Big Bear City , California ) was an American actress and stunt woman.
Finley was a good rider and played the heroine in around twenty films of the 1940s alongside Western stars like Tom Keene , Tex Ritter and The Range Busters . But mainly she worked as a stunt double for many female stars of the time. Under the name Eve Anderson , she starred in one of the last series, Perils of the wilderness (1956). After the decline of B-film production, she switched to television and brought her skills to many series. She also remained connected to the feature film, most recently with Silverado .
From 1956 to around 1960 she was married to colleague Lee Roberts , who one day mysteriously disappeared.
